Thailand is the unity of Thai blood and body.
The whole country belongs to the Thai people, maintaining thus far for the Thai.
All Thais intend to unite together.
Thais love peace, but do not fear to fight.
They will never let anyone threaten their independence.
They will sacrifice every drop of their blood to contribute to the nation, will serve their country
with pride and prestige-full of victory. Chai Yo (CHEERS).
I was really impressed when I first listen to the National Anthem of Thailand. The melody was some-
thing to wake up and cheer up our simple and pure mind which we have already forgot back in the old
memories, and it attracted me very strongly.
I had been already attracted by the cute and beatutiful pronunciations of Thai language by that
time, but the sound of the lyrics of this anthem in Thai attracted me a lot, because its sound
matched with the melody so well.
Therfore, I was surprized a little when I found the translation and got to know what it meant.
That was because I could not imagine that it would say "Blood" or "Fight" with such a cute and a
beautiful pronunciation and melody.
However, I can not stop feeling the weight of the words in this anthem when I think in their
histories defending from any enemies and protect their pureness and independency, while their
neighbour countries were attacked and invaded.
